Cons
- Handheld only. For professional use, I often times need to mount my camera. But for the homeowner, this should not be a huge deal.
- When using the thermal imaging camera outdoors the screen can get somewhat difficult to read in direct sun and bright sun conditions even with the brightness set to full. This is not a flaw in the design of the Kaiweet thermal camera though. Most thermal cameras have the same issue.
- The App for image analysis is only available on Windows PCs currently.
Advice
Put some distance between the camera and what you are imaging. This particular device works much better if it isn’t right on top of what you are looking at. Give it a couple of feet.
Let the battery fully drain out two times. This helped it hold the charge for 6 hours. I had read that the length of time it really stayed charged varied and this is a little trick to get it to hold the charge.
